First Indigo 15K in Australia goes to Southern Impact: (l-r) Craig Walmsley, HP; Heath Nankervis, Rod Dawson Southern Impact; Arnon Goldman, HP; with Anthony (AJ) Jackson
Southern Impact has ordered the first HP Indigo 15K in the country, with installation of the B2 press expected in September at the company’s Mount Waverley factory.
The new HP Indigo 15K HD Digital Press, supplied by Currie Group, will see Southern Impact continue its decade long relationship with HP Indigo. It will become the centrepiece of the company’s digital solution, running alongside an upgraded HP Indigo 7800.
The company will rationalise its digital fleet, with the company retiring an HP Indigo, which has printed 230 million impressions, along with two iGens and a NexPress, with the new HP Indigo 15K HD taking all the work. It will also print work that would previously have gone to offset.
Rod Dawson, managing director of Southern Impact Group said, “It is a natural progression, the new B2 sits between our SRA3 digital presses and A1 offset presses, and will reignite our commercial operation. We are seeing the market bounce back, the new HP Indigo will help drive the company forward.”
